Applications for the Pörssi Alumni Mentoring Program are now open!

Pörssin Alumnit ry and Pörssi ry will continue the mentoring program during this academic year after the success of last year’s pilot program. In the future, our goal is to build a high-quality and versatile mentoring program for Pörssi students to support their studies and the first steps in working life.

The mentoring program aims to form 12-14 mentoring pairs and based on the feedback collected from them and the observations made, the program will be moved in an even better direction.

The program is run by a four-person mentoring team, which includes the vice chairman of Pörssi ry, a mentoring partner and experienced alumni. The team is responsible for the planning, implementation and recruitment of people from start to finish.

What is a mentoring program?

A mentoring program is an organized program in which a more experienced person who has already graduated from university, i.e. a mentor, guides a less experienced person, i.e. a mentee. The topics of the guidance are very individual, and we aim to connect the pairs so that the mentor would have as many tools as possible to provide support and help to the mentee in question, i.e. the mentee. For example, working life skills, career planning and clarifying studies are typical topics discussed in mentoring, and the program focuses specifically on individual guidance for everyone.

The aim of the program is to support everyone’s individual career development and transfer know-how to the mentee through a more experienced person. In mentoring, the aim is to respond to each individual’s personal needs and answer the questions that are on their mind, unlike in lectures.

Program schedule:

  • Application open 22.9. – 5.10.2025 / 8.10.2025
  • Pre-assignment for those selected for the program
  • Introductory lecture 13.11.2025 at 17.00 at Bulevardi 6 (BearingPoint office)
  • First 2-3 meetings between pairs 14.11.25 – 3.3.
  • Interim meeting in February-March
  • 2-3 meetings between pairs 3.3. – 30.4.
  • The joint closing lecture and program will end at the end of April

How do I apply for the program?

The application period opens on Monday 22.9.2025 and ends for mentees on Sunday 5.10.2025 at 23.59 and for mentors on 8.10 at 23.59.

Please fill in the application carefully, as we will form the mentoring pairs that best meet based on the application. Anyone can apply, regardless of their major or work history. Please also check the schedule below before applying to make sure that you are able to commit to the entire program.
